"You Look Gay!"..
Am I the only person that doesn't get why gay people get mad when someone says "You look Gay" or why gay people find it necessary to tell another gay guy that they look gay? If you're gay and someone tells you that you look gay, where does the problem come about? It's like getting mad when someone says "you look black" to me; why would I get ad that I look like something that I am. I can understand the reason to be upset if they're trying to say it in a bad way. The other day this guy told me that I look gay and I told him I was and he had the most dumb founded face I have ever seen in my life. As if he expected me to get mad and go off on him; I simply smiled and said "I am gay" and he was thrown for a fucking LOOP! I don't understand why he thought he should tell me what I look like when he's walking around with pants hanging down to his fucking ankles, but I digress.
Gay people, we must stop[ with this self loathing and get it together. We're never going to get the rights we want and need if we are turning our back on our selves. Be proud of being gay because no matter what you do you always will be gay. You can live your life in a lie all you want, but you and I both know that that craving for the same sex isn't going to go anywhere. Life is too short to lie to yourself. If someone doesn't like you then you don't need them in your life; it's that simple.
I have to go now. I need to find my model of the week and get some school work done. I'M SO BEHIND. BYL, Dolls!

Are You Gay?

Is it ever really an appropriate time to ask someone if they're gay or not? My best friend and I were watching this vid(Seen Below) on Youtube and the video was about "Is it OK to ask someone if they're gay?". In MY opinion, there are certain situations where i believe it's OK to do it. like if we're talking on a friendship level and i start getting the feeling that you like me... wait, but then i think the better question would be "Do You like me?" or could i still ask "are you gay?"? see, I'm starting to have second thoughts because at first i felt like there are only certain situations that you can ask that question, but now that I'm sitting here typing and actually trying to think about situation's, I feel differently. I can say that i never think it's OK for you to do it in a public setting with a bunch of people around. if you really want to know that badly take them somewhere in private and ask. If you have a feeling that the person is gay 9 times out of 10 they really are. And it's really none of your business if the person is gay or not. the only thing being gay means is that you like the same sex, so what someone else does in their personal life has nothing to do with you unless you're married to that person!
I know some homophobes will say that they don't wanna be friends with a gay person, but i honestly don't think these people know how stupid they sound when they say something like that. What sense does it make to end a friendship with someone just because they're gay? Let's say you guys have been friends for , i don't know, 2 years. The guy/girl at some point tells you that they're gay. what about them changes from those past 2 years to now? NOTHING! they are still the same person. All they did was let you in on a part of their personal life. you should feel happy that they're comfortable enough and trust you enough to tell you something like that. Being gay doesn't completely define a person, just like being straight doesn't completely define a person. when someone says to me "So tell me about yourself" i don't respond "I'm Gay!". What is that gonna tell someone beside that i date men? NOTHING. Being gay isn't who i am, it's a small piece of the puzzle that makes me who i am... did that make sense?
I think i just went on a rant because i don't think i actually got the point i was trying to make lol. maybe you guys can help. What do you guys think? Is it ever appropriate to as someone "are you gay?"? if so tell me what the situation would have to be. and if not, tell me why you think so.

"I Do it Because I Want To!"

If you saw me walking down the street in a pair of these, what thought would run through your head? would you instantly get a bad taste in your mouth? would you say to me "why are you wearing those?"? would you scream some derogatory word at me just because you were uncomfortable?
What if i had a coordinating outfit and accessories along with it? would that take you over the edge to see a boy wearing feminine clothes? would it make you lash out like some wild animal to prove a point that really is small minded? would it make you think any less of me as a person because i have the courage to not lie to myself and conform to what society says is the correct way for a boy to dress?
Now let's throw in something else. what if i added a wig and/or a full face of make up to finish it all up? would you still get all emotional about and place your opinion somewhere that it was not asked to be placed? would you knock me down a peg by telling me why i shouldn't be wearing what I'm wearing because YOU think it's wrong in some way?
if so i have one question for you:
"Why are you so worried about it?"
i more than likely wont be wearing any heels or things like that, but there are plenty of people that do. and even more that are too scared to do it even though they really want to. They're scared of being teased and taunted every time they decide to go out with their heels on. they don't want to deal with the laughter and the rude comments that they'd have to endure. They can't be who they really want to be because too many small minded people run the streets. People that are afraid of what they don't understand. And in that fear, turn to violence.
a couple weeks ago, i was having lunch with my mom. That day i had decided to ear some gold eye shadow because it made my eyes look nicer, but you couldn't tell that i had anything on. it's no secret that i wear make up. i tell any one that asks. I'm usually just a foundation and mascara type of guy. you can never tell i have anything on, but you just know that i look AMAZING. this day i wanted to try something new and i wore the gold shadow. i guess the sun was hitting my face a bit too much and my mom could see the shadow because of that. she asked me "Why do you have on eye shadow?". right then and there i went from being jolly ol' Kenny to the self conscious person i used to be. i looked down, not giving any eye contact any more and said in a low voice "i don't know". she then said to me "what do you mean you don't know? you wore it because you wanted to right?". I was shocked! I thought she was going to grill me for wearing make up or something. she continued to say "if anyone ever asks you something like that just look them in the eye and say 'I do it because i want to!' and leave it at that. it's no one's business why you do it". i instantly got a big smile on my face from what she said. it's sooo true. It doesn't matter if i was completely dolled up with girl clothes or if i only had on heels. It's no ones business, but mine as to why I'm wearing what I'm wearing.
that's the whole point of this blog. don't be afraid to be who you are or who you want to be. you're never gonna get every one's approval. that's just life. no matter what you do there are gonna be people that despise you because you're not fitting into their box. People will ALWAYS judge, no matter how much they may say "God is the only one that can judge me". his judgement may be the only one that counts, but honey everyone judges someone else! The only thing you can do in life is be the best YOU that you can be. if you want to rock them heels, Bitch, rock 'em. if you want that wig so you can have some hair to twirl, Bitch, work that shit like Beyonce! if you want those jeans because they make your ass look good, Bitch, shake that apple bottom. there are so many gay men that want to extend their fashion from the plain boring and BLAND apparel that is known as Men's fashion, but don't because of what they think others will think of them. Just do you and keep it moving Honey. and if you come across an ignorant person asking you why you're doing whatever it is that you're doing, look them in the eye and tell 'em "I do it because i want to!".
The message behind this song is so deep and all around amazing. the stuff she says at the end of this video speaks for it's self. Erykah Badu... what more can is say?

So You Wanna Quote The Bible?

Disclaimer: Before i get into this blog i want to make it well known that i believe in God and that Jesus is my Savior. But i do NOT believe in the bible. i can't believe in a book that condemns me for being something i didn't choose to be.
Now on to this blog.
I was reading up on some gay issues at The www.Advocate.com when i came across a story on how this new girl that's running in the "Miss Beverly Hills" beauty pageant. anyway I'm gonna cut to the chase. she came out talking about her opposition to same sex marriage. she quoted the book of Leviticus’s, saying to "Put to death" any man who "lies with mankind as he would lie with a woman". after reading this i was just SOOOO furious because i am so sick of these fucking bible beaters running around using the bible as a weapon and a from of validation to use their hate speech.
first of all, not everyone believes in God so you're messing up other people's life because of YOUR beliefs? what you believe has nothing to do with someone else if they don't share that same belief. and you running around preaching about how the bible says this and that, isn't going to change them.
and WHY are these people so stuck on what the bible says about gay people? the bible says a lot of things. like Leviticus 20:10-12, saying that people who eat fish/shellfish are to be condemned. Or Deuteronomy 22:13-21, where it clearly states that women who aren't virgins on their wedding night should be stoned to death. I have YET to see these bible beaters standing in front of Red Lobster preaching what the bible says. nor do i see them standing around at weddings of women who aren't virgins throwing stones at them. I mean, it was made one of the 10 Commandments to NOT kill, YET, it said very clearly that gay people should be "put to death". WTF is that?
If you're gonna preach one thing in the bible you should preach them all. if you can't do that, then sit in a fucking corner and shut your damn face!
It is so annoying to constantly hear these people trying to push their beliefs on to others. everyone does not have the same belief system and for that you should not be able to protest against something like same sex marriage because of your personal beliefs on the topic. especially if it has to do with religion.
ok i can go on for days right now. I'm really upset so I'm gonna just stop typing and go do something else.
Later, Dolls!

Florida's Gay Adoption ruling coming VERY Soon!

Well apparently, Gay residents in Florida are getting ready for a court ruling on the state’s gay adoption ban that is expected to arrive on a Wednesday in the near future.
The U.S. court of appeals for the third circuit in Miami will rule on whether the gay adoption ban is constitutional. The case involves Martin Gill, a flight attendant who wants to adopt the two foster children he and his partner have been raising for the past five years.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, the court releases its rulings on Wednesdays between 10:30 and 10:45 a.m. on its website.
Florida is the only state with an outright gay adoption ban, which the Florida legislature passed in 1977. Same-sex couples are allowed to be foster parents.
The case is predicted to reach the Florida supreme court no matter how the appeals court rules.
I don't understand why this is such a problem! are people afraid that gay people wont teach their kids to hate and to understand that everyone is different? they can't think that kids will be turned gay because of having gay parents because that is the most untrue thing in the world. If your sexual orientation was based on the that of your parents, damn near NO ONE would be gay. i know for one that i wouldn't be. ugh, I'm getting annoyed with these dumb asses!

This Schools Newspaper is in Trouble!!!!

The University of Notre Dame’s student paper ran an anti gay editorial cartoon on the 13th(seen above) that now has the schools president and the student paper in which it ran, scrambling to find an explanation as to how it was allowed to be published. The cartoon calls a baseball bat the "quickest way to turn a fruit into a vegetable". The staff of The Observer issued the first apology for the January 13 cartoon, saying, “There is no excuse that can be given and nothing that can be said to reverse the damage that has already been done by this egregious error in judgment."
On Friday, the Reverend John I. Jenkins, Notre Dame’s president, followed with a statement of his own, printed below.
“The University denounces the implication that violence or expressions of hate toward any person or group of people is acceptable or a matter that should be taken lightly.
“In accordance with Notre Dame’s Spirit of Inclusion, a formal statement adopted by the officers of the University in 1997, at Notre Dame 'we prize the uniqueness of all persons as God’s creatures' and welcome 'all people, regardless of color, gender, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, social or economic class, and nationality.'
“Further, 'we value gay and lesbian members of this community as we value all members of this community. We condemn harassment of any kind' and 'we consciously create an environment of mutual respect, hospitality and warmth in which none are strangers and all may flourish.'
“The University respects The Observer’s status as an independent, student-run newspaper and appreciates that the editorial staff has issued an apology in its January 15th issue and that the cartoon’s authors also have expressed their regret. Notre Dame administrators will work with the Observer staff, as they say in their editorial, to 'move forward, and ... to promote ... a culture of acceptance and support for all.'”

No Homo for Obama
"Patience became the 2009 mantra of the gay rights movement, which generally supports Democrats. Many activists believe that in his heart Obama supports their flagship issues: the ability to serve openly in the armed forces, to be protected from employment in the workplace, and the right to marry (even though he’s on record as favoring civil unions over marriage). But they’ve received almost nothing for their troubles. What the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered community has learned this year is that the president is ultimately a pragmatist. Although his very presence in the White House is the stuff of culture wars, Obama himself is reluctant to wade into one. Moreover, if socially divisive policies have the potential to compromise his legislative agenda, Obama has proven that he simply won’t pursue them. Expect this tension to become more acute as the 2010 elections loom—and for gay rights to be shunted aside again. The last thing this pragmatist president will do is hand election-year ammunition to an already energized conservative base that’s venomously opposed to gay marriage."
This is what has said on Gay rights in 2010. If this is true, I'm really pissed. I don't even know what to say about this bull. what do you guys think?

"Obama Plans to Impose Homosexuality”!?

I wish thos Conservative Christian Groups would shut the fuck up about things they don't know! ok, so apparently The Family Research Council(FRC), a conservative Christian organization, sent out a fund-raising action alert claiming that President Obama wants to “impose homosexuality and silence Christianity in workplaces.” The letter focuses it's attention on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, a bill that would provide legal protections against discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.
The President of FRC, Tony Perkins, wrote "Truthfully, it should be called the ‘Discrimination Against Christians in the Workplace Act'"... Where the hell did he get all that from? The FRC made false accusations, saying that the bill would require employees to remove Bibles from their desk and force churches to hire cross-dressers, which is NOT true. YES, the ENDA would prohibit discrimination based on a person's sexual orientation and gender identity, BUT the law would apply only to civilian nonreligious employers with over 15 employees. see how the group took a small portion and twisted it into what they wanted to hear to stop the progression of Equality in this world? this is making me so mad right now!
P.S
ENDA has been introduced in Congress several times since 1994, but it has never passed. In 2009, with President Obama’s support, a transgender-inclusive ENDA was introduced.

Gay Teen Found Dead in His Aunts Closet

This a very sad and disturbing story. I'm gonna copy and paste it so you can know all the details. Got this story on www.Advocate.com :
The murder of a gay teenager in Baltimore has left a family grieving and a community questioning why he was killed. The suspect is a family friend and ex-con who had served only 10 years of an original 30-year sentence for an earlier crime.
Jason Mattison Jr., 15, was found raped, gagged and stabbed to death in a closet at his aunt’s house last week.
Dante Parrish, 35, has been charged with first-degree murder, The Baltimore Sun reports. Parrish was sentenced to 30 years in connection with a 1999 killing but was released after the nonprofit legal group the Innocence Project “found that Parrish had pleaded guilty to second-degree murder based on a faulty statement of facts read into the court record,” according to the Sun. A judge overturned Parrish's conviction.
The article describes the late Mattison as a popular, self-assured, and gregarious high school sophomore. “He was outspoken and excited about everything he talked about,” Mattison’s English teacher Ryan C. Jones told the paper. “He was very, very popular, and he was everyone’s best friend.”

The advocacy group Love Honor Cherish launched SignForEquality.com recently in an effort to gather 1 million signatures by April 12 — 150 days from Thursday. John Henning of SignForEquality.com said in a statement that social networking media will be an integral part of gathering the signatures to force the issue back on the ballot. and I believe it's about fucking time!!!!!

"The Difference Between a Fag and a Homosexual" Really?
A good friend of mine was dating this girl who said she doesn't like feminine gay men because she thinks "a man should act like a man". I had a HUGE problem with this because the girl was a butch lesbian. If a man should act like a man than a woman should act like a woman. She's trying to push a gender roll on someone when she's not even following her gender roll. How are you gonna criticize someone for doing basically the same shit as you? Fucking hypocrite.
At the end of the day, the only person you need to make happy is you! Live YOUR life the best way you know how and be the best You that YOU can be. If you believe in God(who ever your God may be), hope that he/she approves when the time comes. No one can tell you how to be who you are. If someone doesn't like who you are, then don't associate yourself with that person. plane and simple.

Another Damned Hate Crime
A 49-year-old gay man from Queens, N.Y., remained in a medically induced coma on Monday after being attacked by two men as he left a corner deli near his home Friday around 3 a.m.
Jack Price is in serious but stable condition. One suspect has been arrested and the other is still being sought in the incident, which police view as a hate crime, according to the Associated Press.
"Police say the two suspects taunted Price and yelled anti-gay slurs while he was in the store early Friday," the AP reported. "They attacked him outside, not far from his home in the middle-class Queens neighborhood of College Point."
Daniel Aleman, 26, was arrested Sunday and charged with assault, aggravated assault as a hate crime, and aggravated harassment.
City Council speaker Christine Quinn, an out lesbian, called for the second suspect to be apprehended quickly during a press conference on Monday.
"I know the Queens community is outraged that hate has tainted their streets, and I know they will join with us in helping the local authorities find the second suspect," said Quinn in a statement. "I applaud the NYPD for taking swift action on this case, and I know they will continue their efforts until justice is served."

The Big Gay Blog
If you're not apart of the LGBT community, what makes you think you can make the proper decisions for people that are? I really don't get that! And this fucking argument of "God said it isn't right" is getting really old! I believe in God, but I'm gonna put that to the side right now, because not everyone worships the same God. And who's to say ANY of the Gods people worship(if anyway at all) are/is the right one(s)? So take that shit somewhere else. If I were a person that didn't believe in any God, why would I give flying fuck about what some man YOU worship has to say about my life? What I'm getting at is the whole "Separation of Church and State" thing needs to start being enforced! I'm sick of hearing things about what God said as the only reason this is such a big issue for some. Another big question that I have for anti-gay people is "What difference is it gonna make in your life personally if gays get married?". I'm pretty sure It'll be very minimum, if not, nothing at all!!!!! If you don't agree with it then don't get married to the same sex and let that be that! I'm also sick of hearing that bullshit about "marriage is a sacred institution between man and women". Its not that sacred anymore if the divorce rate is so high. There are same sex couples that have been together, unmarried, longer than most straight couples' marriages last.
And on the topic of "Is Gay the new black?"... I'm a very STRONG believer that it is. I'm gonna give my reason though (this is only my reason for believing this so don't get your panties in a twist over it!) Being gay may not be EXACTLY equal to how it was to be black back in the day but it's close enough. A gay person today has more in common with a black person back then, than a black person today would. Gay people get hung, killed, beaten and etc. all because we don't fit into what society calls "normal". That's what black people went through back in the day. Blacks were not equal to white people in anyway shape or form. And now in todays time, gay people aren't equal in those same ways to straight people!
I make it a point in my life NOT to follow what the bible says is right or wrong. I would be very hypocritical of me to say this or that is a sin because the bible says so but at the same time I don't believe being gay is a sin even though the bible says so. I live my life the best way I know how and the way I want to. At the end, I can only hope that God approves. People need to grow up and just agree to disagree. This "Church against Gays" thing is never gonna end. Let the LGBT community have our equal rights and live our lives and both groups keep their views of the other to themselves. What's normal for one person isn't always gonna be normal for someone else.
Later, Dolls! :-*
