If Gays Can't Adopt, You Get No Money!

A congressman named, Pete Stark, introduced a legislation last Thursday that would prohibit states and child welfare agencies from restricting adoption or foster care placements based on sexual orientation or marital status of potential parents.

The Every Child Deserves a Family Act would cut off federal funding for any state program or agency, that receives federal assistance for adoption or foster care placements but doesn't comply with the nondiscrimination policies set forth in the legislation.

Pete said "The states have a right to their own laws but they don't have the right to federal money... morality is hard to legislate, control of money is a lot easier". I couldn't have said it better myself.

There are 25,000 kids who mature out of foster care every year and have fucked up lives because they don't do as well as kids who have good foster or adoptive care. And instead of letting them get into a family with two moms or two dads or even people that aren't married, people let the kid stay behind because of their ignorant judgement. I've said it before... "This is a very fucked up world."
